Dear John,
Our relationship has never followed the rules (rules you say, our kind of relationship only exist on plantet POD where rules are frowned upon). We've never been the kind of fairy-tale couple you see in the movies (hmm... fairy-tale couple, I'm not quite sure what you mean by that, the one in my head started off great, but somewhere along the way it all went to hell in a burning hand basket). It seems like we're either head over heels in love or crazy with frustration (I don't doubt that we love each other, but you get on my effing nerves sometimes....WHY CAN'T YOU BE A NORMAL BOYFRIEND?) We're not perfect, and neither is this relationship (perfection is in the mind of the beholder, I would say we're more functional dysfunction). But you know what? It's ours. All ours- the little jokes that only we understand. Our relationship will never be perfect (News Flash, anyone?....anyone?), but it will always be an important part of me.
I don't know what's in store for us. But I know I want you in my life. (I seriously need to be checked out by a shrink or a priest). I know I love you. And I know that I'd rather be dysfunctional with you than functional with anyone else.
Love Always,
Mary
