It's Lent Y'all

As you may or may not know or even care...I'm a non-practicing Catholic. I don't go to church regularly (I feel the Catholic guilt coming on) but I keep up with all the traditions....Oy Vey! (That would be three hail Mary's and one Our Father).

Today starts the season of Lent. For those non-Catholics, Lent is basically when you decide to give up something that you think you can't do without for forty days (In real life, you're actually supposed to pray, fast, and get closer to the man upstairs).

The question of the day is....What do I give up for Lent? A few of my friends suggested s.e.x (so not happening), Face.book, buying shoes (What? Have you lost your mind?). I love, love, love buying me some shoooooooes. Obviously I feel strongly about this not buying shoes thing, because usually I take a portion of my tax.refund and buy a couple pairs of shoes. And by a couple, I mean four or five pairs at a time. This might be harder than I thought, thanks for the suggestion SM (in my most non-sarcastic voice).

I can do this....I can do this.....I can do this.

Say a prayer people.
