The Game

Last Sunday, the N*F*L popped my cherry. Yes people, I attended my very first foot.ball game (pass the lighter please, baby). As a birthday present for my boyfriend I purchased two tickets to the Fal.cons vs. B.ears game at the D.ome. Prime time baby, I 'm such a good girlfriend.

In order to enjoy this special occasion with me, I'll need to give you some back information. First, I am in NO way a foot.ball fan.....don't watch it or even desire to watch it. But I was all decked out in my Chic.ago B.ears t-shirt and headed to the game(insert, good girlfriend). My boyfriend on the other hand is a big fan, big Chic.ago B.ears fan, seeing that he is from Chi-town it all makes sense. I digress.

So he picks me up around 7 p.m., and we're off. As I was getting into the car, I noticed a big white board and markers. Is he really going to do what I think he's about to do, and do I have to participate? The conversation then went a little something like this:
Me: What's the board and markers for?
B.F: Baby, I need you to help me make a sign.
Me: Are you serious? You're not going to embarrass me at the game, are you?
He totally ignores my sarcasm and proceeds to give me signage directions.
B.F: I need it to say, DA B.EARS RULE DA D.OME
Me: Blank stare
B.F: Come on baby
So as the good girlfriend, I help make the sign as we speed to the Da D.ome.

We get there, with sign in tow and he's all happy, happy, joy, joy. At this very millisecond in space and time I'm excited as well, just seeing him this happy makes me happy. Oy vey, who is this person that I am turning into? As we walk down the steps of heckled-land to our seats (and they were great seats, by the way), the solely B.ears fans in the midst of Fal.coners, I was proud to be the girlfriend and stand beside my man. Again, who is this person?

The heckling was all in good fun and for a foot.ball virgin I had to say I really enjoyed myself. I didn't know people were so passionate about the game. I think I might become a fan.

The B.ears lost. We didn't even get to use our sign.

I'm glad you went. I would like to see pictures as proof though...or at least the sign (rolflmao).
